More info
Mulberry started life in the countryside of Somerset in 1971, and quickly hit the shelves of London fashion emporium, Biba. From there on out Mulberry grew in popularity to become the first British lifestyle brand. Leather agenda and poacher bags found fame and are still remembered by fashion insiders as the start of something special. The turn of the century saw new iconic styles in ‘the Bayswater’ and ‘Roxanne’ still championed by celebrities and fashionista’s around the world today.
Always keeping up with trends while producing timeless classics, Mulberry spoke to a new generation with the creation of the ‘Alexa’ bag, a soft leather satchel inspired by Alexa Chung which flew off the shelves then and continues to do so now with a new limited edition gold style.
The only British luxury brand to retain and invest in their UK factory, Mulberry launched an apprenticeship scheme in 2006. This ensures the label keep a hold of their heritage and the skilful way their bags have always been made, while also providing training and employment for their local community.
Emma Hill is the latest designer to take over the creative direction of Mulberry and is continuing to gain fans with her unique way of evolving the brand, highlights so far include the edgy Bayswater clutches and the Taylor totes for men.
