The Collection -
Fabric is draped, tied and gathered to flatter figures in the eponymous collection from La Petite Salope. Interlacing dramatic silhouettes with couture like intricacy makes for a feeling of youthful sophistication. Expect folds, ruching and asymmetry in deep colours for a forward thinking collection.

A change of careers paved the way for Nicola Helgesen, who in 2001 quit her flourishing job as a visual merchandiser. Following her heart, Nicola set out on producing a line of clothing that would be accessible, flattering and fun. Working hard, the designer came up with a small sample collection of bustier's and approached buyers at high end department store, Browns. Nicola Helgesen left the meeting with a completed order form and watched in awe as her collection sold out after only one week.
Working day and night, Nicola tried to keep up with a flood of international orders. By 2004 her production levels called for professional help from Blow PR to promote her latest range. The agency got to work and soon a certain 'prom dress' style, with gathered tulle and built in corsetry, turned into a star within the fashion press. An award from the British Fashion Council for 'New Generation' cemented Nicola Helgesen and La Petite Salope's reputation within the industry as well as granting the designer with enough money to finance her London Fashion Week début.
Today La Petite Salope has evolved into a collection of dresses, separates and tailoring gaining more fans daily with the brands new vision of sophistication. With super model clientèle in the form of Kate Moss and all manufacturing based in London, La Petite Salope retains a national identity and original aim of producing a flattering and fun way of dressing.
