At the origin of the luxury Prêt-à-porter, Chloé was established in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, a mysterious Parisian-Egyptian beauty with a new vision: modern and feminine clothing designed by paying more attention to the body.
The French house Chloé is known for launching the careers of young designers who enriched the label: the classical genius of Karl Lagerfeld with his romantic blouses in '66 and again in '83 to restore the past glory of the French label; the quirky romanticism of Stella McCartney in '97; Phoebe Philo’s chic femininity in 2001; Paulo Melim Andersson's refined conceptuality in 2006; and the sophisticated feminity of the designer in charge since March 2008 Hannah Macgibbon.
